At Deep East Texas Nurse Honor Guard, we pay tribute to Nurses at the time of their death by performing the Nightingale Tribute at the Funeral or Memorial Service. It offically releases the Nurse from their duties. We service the following counties: Angelina, Nacogdoches, Polk, Cherokee, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Trinity, Tyler, Houston and Jasper.
Our team is comprised of active and retired nurses. They volunteer their time, efforts and expenses to provide a dignified tribute to their fallen Sister or Brother. We also support the families during their times of need.
The Honor Guard dresses in Nurse's traditional white with a cap and cape. We recite the Nightingale Tribute and lay a white rose near the deceased that symbolizes the dedication to the Nursing profession. A procolamation is made and the Nurse is released from His or Her duties and the Lamp is extinguised. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR OUR SERVICES. We do accept donations.
